Vintage Original Peter Figuren Mecki hedgehog musician figurine, handmade in Austria and posed playing a miniature metal saxophone.
This charming miniature character features a molded hedgehog face and hands, bristly faux-fur hair, a blue-and-cream checkered jacket, rust-orange vest, patched cream trousers, striped socks and black shoes. The figure stands approximately 3½ inches tall.
Original Peter Mecki figures were produced in numerous occupational and humorous character variations and have become collectible examples of mid-century Austrian decorative toys.

Condition: Vintage pre-owned condition with visible age-related wear, dust and discoloration to the clothing. There is some fraying around the collar and clothing edges, and the hair shows age and unevenness. The saxophone has surface patina and wear but remains attached.
