Vintage Nurse's Long Wool CloakBeautiful WWII era wool nurse's cloak that buttons with 2 tabs. Wish I saw tailoring like this more often. This looks like it has lived its life in storage and barely been used. It is navy blue wool lined with vivid red wool, making it weighty but impervious to weather. It has the large initials CH on one shoulder (Cleveland Hospital perhaps?) and the initials L.R.C. inside. It was made by Standard Apparel Company of Cleveland, Ohio. The cloak measures 45.5" long at center back. This is well-preserved with very little wear and the wool is high quality. The buttons are present and buttonholes are in excellent condition. I did not observe any stains or odors but I did find 3 small moth holes, which I have pointed out with red arrows.
