Vintage Native American miniature seed bead souvenirs are unique handmade pieces of colorful glass seed beads sewn onto leather, deer skin, or felt . They are a beautiful representations of Native American craftsmanship.

Native American Indian pins are affiliated with multiple Plains Indian tribes. These pins are made to show the skill of the makers and usually traded at cultural events and pow wow’s. They were produced from the 1920s through the 1950s – spanning the mid-century Fred Harvey era, roadside trading posts, and tourist markets across the American Southwest, Northern Plains, and Woodlands.

The brown moccasins were actually mailed. As shown in the picture, you will see the back side with the address and the .03 cent stamp dated approximately 1938.

The beaded Indian chief pendant/necklace was originally sold as a souvenir from Saint Joseph’s Indian school in Chamberlain, South Dakota.

The sombrero and the small moccasins are made of leather and beautifully beaded and in immaculate condition. The sombrero even has the tag showing it was sold outside of Niagara Falls. The crafts women historically set up booths near the Niagara Falls suspension bridge to sell elaborate beadwork to travelers.
