Mid-century modern floor standing ashtray, the classic tulip or egg shape in deep burgundy red enameled metal with a bright chrome dome top. The hinged chrome lid flips open on its spring hinge for ashes and snaps back closed, and the chrome stem telescopes so the stand can be set to the height you want.Never used and in excellent original order. The enamel is glossy with strong color, the chrome is bright, the lid opens and closes as it should and the telescoping stem slides and holds. The weighted flared base keeps it steady on carpet or hard floor.Sold as the complete stand: urn, chrome lid and insert, telescoping stem and base. It extends to about 35 inches tall and collapses shorter for storage.
