Offered here is a group of vintage coin-related magician’s tricks and apparatus, acquired with other vintage magic material and being sold together as found.
Included is a vintage Adams’ Magic Coin Box with its original illustrated instruction sheet and the components shown in the photos. The effect allows a marked coin to apparently travel into a sealed bag inside a matchbox and outer box. Also included is the unusual vintage Heinz Soups cardboard box in which the trick was found and stored. It is unknown whether this box had any original connection to Adams or was added by a previous owner.
Also included is an unmarked vintage metal coin producer with spring clip. The spring-loaded mechanism is working properly. Accompanying it is a group of vintage magician’s tokens, including Maja Goddess of Magic, Master Magic, and Tarbell System Incorporated, Chicago examples, along with the additional tokens shown in the photos.
The lot also includes a vintage Heinz “Red Magic” vanishing coin trick featuring Heinz Tomato Ketchup advertising and the wording “advertised in Reader’s Digest.” It includes the illustrated sleeve, sliding wooden coin piece, and quarter shown. The wooden piece measures approximately 4 inches long.
All pieces show varying degrees of age, handling, and storage wear. The Adams instruction sheet has folds, discoloration and small tears, while the Heinz Red Magic sleeve shows age-related staining and spotting.
An interesting group for collectors of vintage magic, coin tricks, Adams apparatus, Tarbell memorabilia, and vintage Heinz advertising.
