Belong to my mother. Nice collection of old postcards from the early 50s. These are the linen style postcards. They would be great framed together. The postcards feature:
University of Pennsylvania, Independence
Hall, Carpenter’s hall, the cradle of liberty at Independence Hall, Philadelphia’s convention hall, the Benjamin Franklin Memorial, the original post office, Washington’s headquarters at Valley Forge, aerial view of Broad Street from City Hall and the general post office. There are 10 in all. They are all clean on the back but we’re posted to an old photo albums in the 50s. There is writing on the University of Pennsylvania card. It is my mother‘s handwriting, postmarked July 1952 (from the date I can tell it was a school trip when she was in high school visiting from Richmond, Virginia).
