Vintage Japanese Seven Lucky Gods (Shichifukujin) Complete Cast Metal Figurine Set – Original Wooden Box
Beautiful complete Japanese Seven Lucky Gods / Shichifukujin set featuring all seven figures and its original fitted wooden presentation/storage box.
The seven figures are substantial, heavy cast metal with an aged bronze/brass-toned patina. The original fitted wooden box features Japanese calligraphy, a red seal/mark, and a JAPAN label.
The set has been researched, but I have not been able to definitively establish the maker, exact age, or metal composition. Similar Japanese Shichifukujin sets are associated with traditional Japanese decorative metalwork, including examples produced in Takaoka; however, this set is not being attributed to a specific artist, maker, or workshop without further verification.
Set includes:
• All seven Shichifukujin / Seven Lucky Gods figures
• Original fitted wooden storage/presentation box
• Original Japanese markings and label as shown
The figures retain their aged surface and have not been polished or restored. Vintage wear, patina and age-related marks are present. Please review all photographs carefully, as they are part of the description.
Measurements and weights are shown/provided in the listing.
A particularly interesting complete example for a collector of Japanese metalwork, Shichifukujin, Asian antiques or Japanese decorative arts.
Please note: I am intentionally avoiding an unsupported attribution to a particular maker or period. Buyers knowledgeable in Japanese metalwork are encouraged to review the photographed markings.
