The lid is a showcase of traditional craftsmanship, meticulously hand-decorated with elegant bamboo stalks using the "Maki-e" (hand-painted gold powder) technique. Shimmering inside the leaves are beautiful, hand-set fragments of "Raden" (iridescent blue-green mother-of-pearl shell inlay) that catch the light wonderfully.
