Description:
Up for sale is a beautiful, vintage handcrafted wooden pie/cake "Tine" box (traditional Scandinavian bentwood storage vessel). This round carrier features stunning hand-painted floral motifs inspired by traditional Norwegian rosemaling styles (Telemark style scrolls).
It utilizes the classic interlocking wooden tension pillar system to securely snap the lid down tight for transport. The handle and pillars are elegantly scrolled, making it as much a functional centerpiece as it is a gorgeous piece of rustic kitchen decor.
Provenance & Origin:
This piece is a wonderful example of late 20th-century American folk-art revival craft. The bottom retains its original vintage foil artisan sticker reading "Handcrafted by BJ’s Gifts" with a local Savannah, Georgia phone number. It was recently sourced directly out of the Savannah area.
Condition:
Very good vintage condition with gorgeous natural wood grain warmth. Paint details remain vibrant. No structural cracks to the bentwood wraps. There is a small, minor chip on the top edge of one locking handle (visible in close-up photos, barely noticeable when viewed from the top). Structural locking pins are fully intact and functional. Please review all high-resolution photos for exact cosmetic condition.

• Interior Diameter: 9 inches (Perfect for a standard 9-inch pie pan!)
