Beautiful matching pair of mid-century hand carved wooden bookends. These pieces feature an adorable, timeless design of a young boy deeply focused on reading a book. They are exceptional examples of traditional Alpine folk art in pristine condition. Hand carved using the iconic flat-plane knife technique. This style leaves clean, deliberate geometric cuts that catch the light beautifully, giving the figures immense depth and mid-century character. The underside of the bookend features the original handwritten workshop production and export codes, 1400/700 VPL. The bookends are fully intact with NO chips, cracks or repairs. Please review all photos for exact condition.
