Up for your consideration is a rare pair of vintage cast brass statues that depict the highly revered Thai Buddhist master Luang Pu Sodh Candasaro, the legendary former abbot of Wat Paknam Bhasicharoen in Bangkok.

Condition: Pre-owned, vintage condition with natural patina and wear. There are no dents or major damage anywhere. Only the small areas that show chipping in the gold finish.
Offered as a rare matching pair, these heavy vintage solid cast brass statues depict the highly revered Thai Buddhist master Luang Pu Sodh Candasaro, the legendary former abbot of Wat Paknam Bhasicharoen in Bangkok.
Commemorative temple pieces such as these are rarely found in the U.S. market, especially as a pair. Each statue features traditional sand-cast construction, one statue weighing approximately 4 lbs, and the other weighing approximately 3.75 lbs.
Each statue stands approximately 8.25" tall. The width at the base is approximately 6 5/8".
Both pieces are finished with a matte lustrous gold paint/gilding over the brass. The bases are fitted with authentic red, blue, and yellow, enameled brass temple nameplates that show some wear and oxidation.
The insignia reads "Phra Mongkol Thepmuni, Luang Pho Wat Paknam, Phasi Charoen, Thonburi".
