Original pre-war General Electric executive desk paperweight ashtray, cast around 1928 to 1936 directly at the historic GE Schenectady Works foundry department in New York. This heavy 1.25-pound piece has a flat machined base that was meant to hold down large blueprint drawings on engineering desks. The triangular shape has three wide cigar-sized slots and highlights the rare pre-WWII Art Deco script monogram logo with thick circular framing and rounded letter terminals.
Condition Notes: Excellent pre-war vintage condition. The heavy bronze metal holds a beautiful dark natural patina with sharp, highly raised logo lettering. The structure is completely solid with no warping or cracks, showing only normal light base scuffs from desktop use over the last century.
