Vintage French tinned copper bain-marie / sauce pot with fitted copper lid and brass finial. The bottom is clearly stamped “MADE IN FRANCE.”
This is a genuine vintage cooking vessel that shows evidence of previous kitchen use. The copper exterior has been cleaned and partially polished, while some of the older patina was intentionally left in place, particularly on the lid. One small area of the lid polished brighter than the surrounding patina during cleaning.
The interior retains its tin lining and shows the expected scratches, discoloration, and signs of use associated with vintage cookware. The small screw securing the brass lid finial has some light surface rust and could be cleaned or replaced if the new owner intends to use the pot for cooking.
Weight with lid: approximately 1 lb 6.5 oz.
A handsome piece of traditional French copperware that displays very well and would also be of interest to collectors of vintage French cookware.
Please review all photos carefully, as they are an important part of the description and show the condition, measurements, markings, and surface details.
