Vintage French Foreign Legion 2-Beret Lot - Named to MDL Pitzler
Authentic Cold War Militaria • Elite 2e REP Paratrooper & Special Commando Grouping
Item Overview
Up for sale is an exceptional, estate-found **Vintage French Foreign Legion 2-Beret Lot**. This original Cold War era grouping belonged to the exact same documented veteran, Maréchal des logis (**MDL) Dougless Pitzler**, who served with the elite 1er REC (1st Foreign Cavalry Regiment) and deployed to the DLEM (Mayotte Detachment) in the late 1970s.
This unique tactical pairing perfectly represents the multi-regimental career path of an elite non-commissioned officer who operated across cavalry, airborne, and special commando elements. Both berets feature their period-correct insignia and indicators of real-world service.
