Some wonderful arrivals from the Normandy area of France. All love quality vintage interiors & upholstery silks from a chateau renovation.
This is a gorgeous French interiors silk brocade. Beautiful floral in lovely colors on a ground that is sort of a soft dusty blue/gray green.
It can look more soft blue gray initially but definitely leans into that soft French grayish green tone. Wonderful color.
Lighting will affect this tone a bit. And also how you view your soft blues & greens. I’ve tried to capture it as best I could.
A bit hard to date, possibly in the 1990’s or so range. Could be a bit older. The design itself is inspired by 19th Century French textiles in the 1880’s or so range.
An unused remnant in very good condition. One outer edge is raw as they were cut.
Stunning in any project including upholstery.
