Charming vintage oval lithographed tin basket decorated throughout with colorful Dutch folk imagery, including red windmills, traditionally dressed figures, flowers, hearts, and other Holland-inspired motifs against a green background. The basket has a removable matching lid and two tall metal swing handles. This piece has considerable age and use wear that gives it a strongly timeworn appearance. Expect scratches, scuffs, finish loss, discoloration, oxidation, and rust on the exterior, lid, edges, interior, and underside. Both handles remain present, and the original-style matching lid is included. A distinctive display or storage piece for a vintage kitchen, sewing room, farmhouse collection, or Dutch-themed collection.
