Vintage Chinese Export Porcelain Crane & Pine Tree Decorative Charger Plate
Available for immediate purchase is a beautiful, vintage Chinese export porcelain decorative plate/charger. This piece features a striking, deep cobalt blue background decorated with a vibrant hand-painted scene of three wading cranes (herons) amidst stylized pine trees and soft pink and blue clouds. The rim is finished with an elegant geometric Greek key (meander) border pattern in red, teal, and gold tones.
The back of the plate features a stamped iron-red square six-character Qianlong seal mark. Please note that this is an apocryphal (reproduction) mark characteristic of mid-to-late 20th-century Chinese decorative export wares honoring classical imperial styles.
This makes a gorgeous statement piece for a plate stand, mantel, hutch, or gallery wall.
