Vintage Chinese cloisonné-style enamel and brass rectangular box, marked “CHINA” on the underside. Features rich red enamel with repeating gold-tone scallop/fish-scale wirework, turquoise-green sides, brass trim and a hinged lid. Interior is finished in deep red enamel and divided into three compartments. Likely originally intended as a cigarette or smoking accessory box, but it also works beautifully as a jewelry, trinket, desk or keepsake box.Measures approximately 4½ inches long × 2 inches wide based on the photos; I would add the height once you measure it.Vintage condition with expected age-related wear including surface marks, discoloration/patina, spotting and minor enamel wear.
