Vintage Chinese hand-carved wise man / wayfarer figurine displayed on an ornate dark wood stand.
Highly detailed seated bearded figure wearing traditional robes and headwear, with a bundled umbrella or parasol carried across his back. Features finely incised black detailing throughout the beard, clothing and decorative areas, along with small red, green and turquoise-colored cabochon-style accents.
The carving has a warm cream/ivory-toned appearance and appears to be made from a natural carved material rather than molded resin. Exact material and age have not been professionally authenticated and are therefore not guaranteed. The dark reddish-brown wooden stand features an attractive pierced/openwork floral design.
Very nice overall vintage condition with normal age-related coloration, surface wear and small natural marks. I do not see any major breaks or obvious repairs in the photographs. Please use the close-up images as the primary condition reference.
