Striking dimensional brass wall hanging depicting Lord Ganesha, the elephant-headed Hindu deity. The piece features a deeply modeled face with a long curled trunk, large ears, elaborate headdress and extensive incised detailing throughout.
The brass has developed a rich, dark aged patina with brighter golden-brass highlights across the raised areas, giving the piece a great deal of character. The back is unfinished and shows the cast construction. A substantial integral hanging loop at the top allows it to be displayed directly on a wall.
