Vintage original oil painting in good estate-found condition. Painting displays beautifully with visible hand-painted brushwork and areas of raised impasto. There is age-related surface wear and a visible horizontal line/crease across the canvas. Large wood frame shows scratches, scuffs and finish wear consistent with age. Unrestored and offered as found. Please inspect all photos closely.DescriptionOriginal vintage signed oil painting on stretched canvas — recently recovered from an old homestead.A striking mountain landscape depicting towering snow-covered peaks rising above a heavily wooded valley, with evergreen trees, autumn colors and a winding stream or trail through the foreground. This is a genuine hand-painted oil on canvas, not a print or reproduction. Close inspection shows individual brush strokes, texture and raised paint throughout the trees, mountains and foreground. The lower-left corner is clearly signed in the paint. The signature appears to read:“B.M. Troke”I have researched the signature but have not been able to conclusively identify or authenticate the artist, so this painting is being sold as a signed original by an unidentified artist rather than making an unsupported attribution. What makes this piece particularly interesting is its history. It is a survivor from an old homestead, where it had remained for many years before being recently recovered. It retains the character of an untouched estate-found piece, including its stretched canvas, heavy wooden frame and linen-textured inner liner. The painting has not been restored, refinished or touched up by me.Details:
