Vintage set of 3 black lacquer wall panels with raised, hand-cut mother of pearl inlay. Each panel measures 23 1/4\" x 11 1/2\".
The panels show Vietnamese-style countryside scenes: farmers carrying loads across a bamboo bridge, rice planting with water buffalo under a palm tree, and children riding water buffalo beside bamboo and a thatched hut. Beautiful iridescent shell that catches the light, with decorative inlaid corner borders.
Original export label on the back reads \"Lacquer Wall Plaque, Farmers Design - Black, Made in China.\" Each panel has a hanger on the back, ready to hang.
Condition: Fronts are in very nice vintage condition with strong gloss. Normal age wear. The backs show wear and some flaking of the black finish, mostly on the right panel (see photos). This does not show when hung.
Please view all photos as they are part of the description. Each panel will be wrapped individually and packed securely. Thanks for looking!
