This is a vintage khatamkari framed plaque laid in what looks like blue silk I did not want to remove the nails from the back to look inside. The plaque appears to be made of metal with a gold-colored finish and intricate floral patterns surrounding the central calligraphy. The word is Allah that is in the writing on the plaque. I do not know the origianl age of this piece. There is some damage on the bottom part of the frame which is a shame for such a nice piece. But itnis on the very bottom so the piece still displays well. The plaque and frame are still in great shape despite its age.
The text in the image is the Arabic word "عطيه" (pronounced Atiyah), which means "gift" or "present" i think. Measures 12 x 9
