Up for sale is a classic post-WWII vintage Anton Wingen Jr. "Othello" Fixed Blade Hunting Knife, crafted in the legendary steel-making city of Solingen, Germany.This model features a beautifully curved trailing point/skinner blade, perfect for field dressing or general outdoor/bushcraft use. The handle is made of genuine, highly textured stag (deer antler) secured tightly with brass pins, capped with an aluminum pommel and a brass guard.Markings:
- Front Ricasso: Stamped with the iconic "Moor's Head" logo and "OTHELLO / SOLINGEN".
- Back Ricasso: Stamped "ANTON WINGEN JR / SOLINGEN-GERMANY".
Condition Details:
- Blade: Authentic, unpolished vintage condition. Shows standard sharpening scratches, minor scuffs, and a light gray patina consistent with its age. Edge is intact with no major chips.
- Handle: The stag scales are in excellent shape—no cracks, chips, or wiggle. Everything is structurally tight from the guard to the pommel.
- Sheath: Includes the original leather sheath. The stitching and snap function perfectly. Please note: There is a previous owner's name ("Frank Davis") written in permanent ink on the front face (see photos).
