Dramatic and elegant Italian sculpture by A. Santini (Amilcare Santini, 1910–1975). A glamorous Art Deco lady in a white bias-cut gown with high slit and flowing red lining walks a spotted cheetah on a leash. She wears a bold black-and-red winged collar, long red gloves, red heels, and a pendant necklace. One hand rests on her hip while the other holds the leash. The cheetah is finely detailed with black spots and a black collar.
The entire group is mounted on an original oval wooden base.Incised signature “A. Santini” (with additional markings) is clearly visible near the lady’s feet on the base of the figure.
