An exceptional vintage Ranch Oak table lamp by A. Brandt Company, Fort Worth, Texas, retaining its original gold foil manufacturer\'s label. This is an unusually architectural Ranch Oak design — a tall, narrow solid oak square column with the characteristic scraped/textured finish, sculpted vertical detailing and a large dark brown round ceramic inset on the front.Rather than the overt cowboy and Western imagery associated with many Ranch Oak lamps, this example has a remarkably clean Mid-Century American Modern presence. Its strong geometry, natural materials and restrained ceramic accent allow it to work equally well in a Mid-Century Modern, modernist, organic modern, Southwestern or contemporary interior.Period advertising for Ranch Oak described the collection as American-ranch inspired and constructed of solid natural white oak.
