This is a two-tone 1970s plastic cosmetics case with an avocado green base and butter yellow lid. The lid features a stylized bird and four flowers inset into the plastic and filled with green enamel. The lid has a secure catch and opens to an upper storage compartment measuring approximately 10.75 in x 7.125 in x 2.5 in deep, with approximately .75 in of additional clearance provided by the lid.
The lower section is a sliding drawer without a catch. It measures approximately 6.75 in x 10.25 in x 1.25 in deep and contains 10 lipstick rows along with several divided storage compartments, including two measuring approximately 4 in x 3 in, one measuring approximately 3.5 in x 8.25 in, and one long compartment measuring approximately 6.5 in x 2 in.
The case has molded ribbing around the sides and back of the base and on both drawer and lid handles, along with a wavy edge around the green portion of the case. It fits together soundly with no breaks, cracks, or splits.
There is localized plastic warping on the interior from prolonged contact with a rubberized item, which appears to have caused some melting. There is also overall scuffing, scraping, smudging, and discoloration throughout the case, along with some oxidation to the metal hinges. Please see photos carefully for condition.

As someone who spends an unreasonable amount of time hunting down obscure mid-century modern and space-age plastics, I have to say this piece is absolutely wild. It feels like a prehistoric 1970s ancestor of the familiar modular cosmetics organizers, but with a heavy dose of mod flower-power kitsch. The avocado green and butter yellow color combination is particularly good, and that pop-art bird and floral graphic on the lid is the part that really makes this one.
This would work equally well as a functional vintage vanity organizer, jewelry or accessory storage, or simply a fantastic piece of 1970s plastic design for display. It is a genuine survivor with plenty of honest age and use showing.
