This framed display measures approximately 19 inches tall by 14.5 inches wide overall with minor surface scuffs on the wood frame and some aging to the interior red felt backing. This is a collection of nine vintage embroidered military and novelty patches from the Vietnam War era through the post-Vietnam Cold War period securely mounted inside a glass-front wooden frame. The central historical highlight is the authentic 18th Special Operations Squadron AC-119K Stinger Gunship Vengeance by Night patch which represents crucial nighttime interdiction missions flown over the Ho Chi Minh Trail during the Vietnam War. The collection also includes an early 362nd Technical Training Squadron bamboo-bordered Southeast Asia theater patch, a 188th Fighter Squadron New Mexico Air National Guard Tacos Roadrunner patch, a Cold War Electronic Systems Division command shield, and a supersonic Starfighter F-104 commemorative insignia. Rounding out the military aviation group are an F-15 Joint Test Force development patch, a dedicated F-15 Eagle Keeper crew chief maintenance patch, a classic vintage Snoopy World War I Flying Ace morale patch, and a humorous 1970s Polish Snowmobiler gag patch.
