This is a vintage1950s thru 1960s Claridge\'s Hotel London Christmas card signed by Art Van Thuyne, their well known general manager. Cards like this were only sent to VIP\'s, including royalty, heads of state, and global celebrities. This is a custom made high end seasonal ephemera sent exclusively important contacts of the hotel\'s leadership. The card measures 8 3/4 inches long by 7 inches wide, when closed. The cover art is delicate and beautiful. The card has discoloured in the upper right corner on the front, and on the upper right edge and a bit on the lower right edge. Please look at the images I have included. The card is printed with the words, \"With every good wish for Christmas and the New Year from Art Van Thuyne General Manager Claridge\'s London\". On the back it says, \"Printed in England\". Aside from the yellowing of the paper, and the discolouration I mentioned above, the card is in very good condition. Thanks for looking!
A bit of trivia, during the time period the card was made, a room at Claridge\'s would cost between $20 to $40. Now that same room would cost between $854 to $957.
