Capture the global spirit of the holidays with this exceptional, highly collectible Vintage Armenian Hand-Carved Wooden Nativity Scene. Handcrafted in Yerevan, Armenia, during the week of September 17–24, 1999, this beautiful crèche showcases traditional Armenian woodworking artistry at its finest. Carved from a gorgeous solid hardwood (showing beautiful natural variations in the grain), the piece features a highly unique, modular interlocking design that mimics a rugged mountain cave setting. The front face exhibits detailed, stylized relief carvings of the Holy Family, the Magi (Three Wise Men), Shepherds, and stable animals coming together in worship. The reverse side acts as a certificate of authenticity, featuring a hand-written inscription from the \"Artist & Crafts Store\" in Yerevan, a hand-etched artist signature/monogram symbol, and a limited edition sequence marker indicating this is number 2 of only 9 pieces ever made (\"2/9\"). A remarkable piece of authentic folk art perfect for holiday display or a dedicated Nativity collector.
