Vintage Precision Plumb Bob with Personalized Wood Display Case – Dated 1988
An impressive vintage precision plumb bob presented in its fitted wooden storage/display case with clear top.
The plumb bob features a substantial machined metal construction with a finely turned conical point, two diamond-knurled grip sections, and an integrated top attachment for the plumb line.
The smooth center section is hand engraved “DALE M.”
The brass-tone name plate on the wooden case is engraved:
D. MARTIN
5-25-88
The matching personalization strongly suggests that the plumb bob and case have remained together as a set and belonged to Dale Martin.
The plumb bob measures approximately 4 1/4 inches long based on the measurement shown in the photos. The fitted wooden case measures approximately 4 1/2 inches long.
A distinctive vintage precision tool with excellent display appeal — ideal for collectors of machinist tools, surveying equipment, precision instruments, vintage tools, or unusual workshop memorabilia.
