ThisVintage 1981 Buck 501 Squire Grand Slam Etch Folding Lockback Pocket Knife Set. Each knifefeatures a 3" Mirror Finish 420HC StainlessSteel Blade. The knife is 3 1/2" long when closed and 6 1/2" long when fully opened.
The original Buck Grand Slam 501 knife set features etched big horn sheep blades. Made in 1981, these knives features mirror polished blades with four different handle materials and metal bolsters/liners. Serial number 392. The set comes with the brass belt buckle in the original box.
The bolsters and liners are made from polished silver.The brass belt buckle has a very intricate design. It also has lettering: "GRAND SLAM".
The knives come in a very nice solid cherry hardwood case that is lined with blue velvet.
The Micarta handles form an awesome set of custom handles. There is no way a picture does this knife justice. Each knife has an intricate design on both sides of the blades.
The knife set also comes with a Belt Buckle as a Certificate of Authenticity. Only a very skilled craftsman can produce this quality of knife. The knife is in mint condition.
