Original vintage 35mm color transparency showing the Empire State Plaza in Albany, New York.
This excellent November 1978 view shows the Plaza\'s reflecting pool and fountains with Alexander Calder\'s monumental abstract sculpture Triangles and Arches prominently positioned in the foreground. Historic Albany architecture is visible beyond the reflecting pool.
The Empire State Plaza was constructed between 1965 and 1978, making this photograph an especially interesting completion-era view of the landmark government complex.
Original mount is handwritten “EMPIRE STATE PLAZA / ALBANY, N.Y.” and stamped NOV 78H.
