About the ad
This vintage 1975 advertisement captures Elvis Presley deplaning from his legendary private aircraft, the Lisa Marie Convair 880, in Charleston, West Virginia — one of the most recognizable symbols of 1970s celebrity excess and rock-and-roll royalty. The original print ad presents Elvis in his signature rhinestone-studded stage wear and oversized sunglasses, mid-stride on the jet\'s stairway, an image that defines an era. A genuinely rare collectible ad for serious Elvis memorabilia collectors and aviation enthusiasts alike, this magazine advertisement documents the King at the height of his touring years, when the Lisa Marie was as famous as the man himself.
