Up for sale is an AUTHENTIC, RARE piece of mid-century AEROSPACE HISTORY: an official VINTAGE NASA internal ENGINEERING documentation PHOTOGRAPH taken at the NASA LEWIS RESEARCH CENTER (now Glenn Research Center) in CLEVELAND, OHIO. Dated 1972, this high-contrast black-and-white print captures a pivotal moment from NASA’s EXPERIMENTAL QUIET ENGINE PROGRAM. The image depicts two engineers INSPECTING a massive HIGH-BYPASS TURBOFAN development ENGINE mounted to an outdoor acoustic TEST stand —PIONEERING WORK that fundamentally SHAPED MODERN, quieter COMMERCIAL CIVIL AVIATION. **The Dual-Collector Appeal:** While the hardware captures a milestone in aviation technology, this piece is equally a HIGHLY DESIRABLE institutional NASA COLLECTIBLE. Produced in 1972 during the PEAK of the APOLLO and SKYLAB ERAS, this is a GENUINE AGENCY-DEVELOPED, PRIVATE photograph from the ESTATE of a CAREER NASA Lewis Research Center ENGINEER. It represents the VITAL AERONAUTICS side of NASA and DUAL MISSION (Aeronautics and Space).
