Offered is this beautiful 1970s vintage Scandinavian Rya rug featuring a striking abstract geometric design. Done in a gorgeous, vibrant palette, this piece blends rich shades of teal, indigo, aqua, and deep green. The rug is3\' x 5\' feet and in very good vintage condition.
Thethick high-pile wool shag feels soft but has woven through wool knotting which give it suppleness and structure. Thefully knotted pure wool backing is an indicator of high quality craftsmanship. The rug is quite heavy, nearly 10 pounds.
The photos show wool fibers are different lengths, with dark green and blue nearly 2.5\" and the lighter blues as much as 1.5\" shorter. It gives dimensionality and movement to the flowing design.
The rug will be carefully folded and padded for safe shipping.
