Original vintage poster advertising The Magic Circus, presented at the Marshall-Putnam Fair in Henry, Illinois, on Saturday, August 24, 1963 at 8:00 p.m.
Printed by Neal Walters Poster Corporation of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, a noted producer of circus, carnival and traveling-show posters. Features fantastic mid-century blue, yellow and white graphics with a wonderfully creepy/scary clown, magic imagery and bold typography.
Poster measures approximately 22\" x 14\" and is printed on cardboard. It is in nice vintage condition for its age, with some discoloration along the top and bottom edges from age. Please note the visible line near the clown on the left side is part of the original printing—it is not a crease or tear. Please see photos for overall condition.
Contemporary 1963 newspaper coverage confirms the show starred illusionist Siros and featured magic, circus and vaudeville acts, including Princess Fay Kay’s human-cannonball performance.
A great piece of 1960s circus, creepy clown, magic, Illinois fair and vintage advertising memorabilia.
