An authentic, highly rare mid century Christmas masterpiece: a 1952 “Pee Wee” Cherub angel designed by renowned Calif. studio potter Robyn Nichols. Unlike the common mass-produced imported holiday figurines of the era this piece is a genuine, early American studio creation. It features a beautiful hand painted sleeping expression gold accent on wings and a bright red Santa’s hat detailed with flawless textured white spaghetti trim. She is holding a green holiday wreath. She is in excellent vintage condition with zero chips, cracks or repairs. The delicate spaghetti trim is entirely intact, and the hand signed signature in ink on the bottom base reads “PeeWee” original by Robyn 1952. Size is 3 x 3 x 2 1/2.
