This is a highly sought-after vintage Snoopy squeak toy figure produced by Hungerford Plastics in the late 1950s. The piece features the early 'long-snout' character design characteristic of Charles Schulz's early Peanuts comic strips. Molded from soft vinyl/rubber, the figure is stamped on the bottom with 'United Feature Syndicate © 1958'. It displays Snoopy in a classic sitting pose with a simple black collar. These Hungerford figures were the very first Peanuts toys ever produced, making them a cornerstone for any serious comic memorabilia collection. While this specimen shows signs of age typical for mid-century rubber toys, including some surface grime and minor paint loss on the nose and eyes, it remains structurally sound without significant hardening or 'vinyl rot'. Its historical significance as a first-generation Peanuts collectible ensures steady interest among vintage toy enthusiasts and Snoopy fans alike.
