Up for sale is an authentic piece of American railroad historv: an individual 11-ounce silver-plated teapot (or coffee pot) manufactured by the legendary International Silver Company for the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway. This heavy, commercial-grade "silver soldered" vessel features the iconic "Santa Fe" script cleanly engraved on the side.
Condition Report:
Silver Plating: The heavy commercial silver plating is fully intact across the bodv, handle spout, and interior. It retains a beautiful, bright finish with no base-metal bleeding
Surface & Wear: This piece shows wonderful. authentic character from its davs in active dining car service. It features a heavy "patina of use," including
numerous small surface dings, micro-abrasions, and fine scratches (please see close-up photos). This honest wear confirms its historical authenticity and ensures it is not a modern reproduction.
Mechanics: The hinged lia functions smoothly, aligns properly, and sits flush when closed. The bottom stamps are entirely crisp and legible
An excellent addition to any railroadiana, hotel silver, or AT&SF collection!
