1950s US Air Force utility trousers in sage green Shade 509 cotton sateen, the pattern issued to aircraft mechanics and ground crew. This pair has a factory Talon zipper fly, where labeled MIL-T-4335A examples are button fly, so it appears to be a variant or earlier contract. Slanted baker front pockets, a flapless patch pocket on each leg, left rear pocket with button flap, plain right rear pocket. Snap waist tabs with two positions per side, both studs present. No label or stamp found.
From the estate of a Korean War era airman, a B-29 gunner and later KC-97 boom operator who served 1952 to 1956. These are his sage green Shade 509 utility trousers with an uncommon zipper fly and two-position snap waist tabs. Unlabeled, worn, and repaired over a long working life.
