This is an authentic vintage Ibelo Monopol automatic pocket wick lighter, manufactured in West Germany during the 1950s.
This model features a beautifully detailed relief plate on the front showcasing a poker hand of four Aces surrounded by classic ornamental filigree. The reverse side features a sleek, vertical striped pinstripe pattern. The bottom is clearly stamped with the maker's mark: "Ibelo MONOPOL - MADE IN WEST GERMANY".
Condition Details:
- Cosmetic: Pre-owned vintage condition with noticeable surface scratches, edge wear, and patina typical for a pocket item of this age. Please review photos carefully.
Mechanism: Functional but stiff; opens completely but lacks a perfectly smooth snap.
- Operational: Sold UNTESTED and AS-IS. The sparking wheel turns, but it requires a new flint, fresh wick servicing, and petrol fluid to be functional.
Perfect addition for collectors of tobacciana, mid-century German engineering, or vintage gambling/poker memorabilia.
Ships promptly and securely. Feel free to message with any questions!
