Shaw / American Pottery for Walt Disney’s Alice in Wonderland.The lot includes White Rabbit, Mad Hatter, March Hare, Walrus, Tweedle Dee/Tweedle Dum, and Dormouse. These glazed ceramic figures were part of Shaw’s collectible Alice in Wonderland series produced in the early 1950s. Some of the figures retain their original Walt Disney / Evan K. Shaw foil labels, while others no longer have their labels. Shaw/American Pottery produced licensed Disney ceramics from 1943–1955. PLEASE NOTE CONDITION: This lot is being sold AS IS for display, restoration, repair, or collection. All six figures have varying degrees of age-related condition issues, including cracks, chips, glaze loss, paint loss, crazing and/or other wear. Please carefully review all photographs for the condition of each individual figure. No attempt has been made to restore the pieces.Despite their imperfections, this is a charming group of increasingly collectible early Disney ceramics that displays wonderfully together and offers an opportunity to acquire six Shaw Alice in Wonderland characters at once.Sold together as one lot of six.
