Vintage 1940s Sheaffer Triumph fountain pen and mechanical pencil presentation set in its original Sheaffer case. A beautiful Golden Brown writing set with gold-tone trim and classic streamlined styling.
The fountain pen features Sheaffer’s distinctive conical Triumph nib clearly marked “SHEAFFER’S,” “MADE IN U.S.A.” and “14K.” The Vac-Fil/plunger rod moves freely and smoothly, but the filling system has not been tested with ink and may require servicing due to age.
The matching mechanical pencil is functional; the lead advances and retracts properly and lead is currently installed.
A wonderful bonus is the original period friendship message preserved inside the case, handwritten “June 1948,” “Softball Team” and “Best of Luck.” It gives this set genuine period character and makes it especially appealing for a collector or display.
Vintage pre-owned condition with age-related scratches, finish wear and case wear. Please review all photos carefully. Sold as found. A handsome collectible Sheaffer set with exceptional vintage presentation.
