For sale is an authentic, highly collectible vintage Coca-Cola wooden bottle crate from the Durango, Colorado bottling plant. Dating back to the late 1940s or early 1950s, this is a beautiful piece of regional Americana history.Unlike standard 24-pocket bottle crates, this is a less common 4-compartment carrier shell, originally designed to hold and transport four cardboard 6-packs simultaneously.
- End Panels: Stenciled in red with \"DURANGO, COLORADO\" across the top and \"Have a Coke\" beneath the handle cutout.
- Side Panels: Features the classic \"DRINK Coca-Cola IN BOTTLES\" vertical layout in crisp Spencerian script. Includes the period-correct \"TRADE-MARK ®\" stenciling beneath the first \"C\".
- Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Both long-side logos are exceptionally vibrant and legible with minimal fading. The wood has aged to a gorgeous, deep honey patina.
- Structure: Rock-solid with no major splits, breaks, or wood rot. The original iron corner reinforcing bands and rivets are entirely intact, flat, and secure.
This crate has been kept in a clean, smoke-free environment.
