I just love vintage feed sack material! This is a wonderful vintage 1930s uncut cotton fabric feedsack with a fantastic, colorful print of flowers! The fabric is a flour bag with the original "Bo-Kay Enriched Bleach Flour" label. The flour is "Manufactured by Russell-Miller Milling Co." out of Minneapolis, Minn. The 100-pound bag has never been cut and has fantastic, clean fabric! The fabric measures 34 by 21 inches on each side (imagine it is like a pillowcase, so there are two sides - or if you cut the bottom seam, you'd have one long piece of 68 inches by 21 inches). Feedsacks were popular in the depression era and post-depression as an economical way to find fabric for sewing! The cotton is completely usable if you would like to cut it up and use it to sew. Honestly, most people just collect and display these pieces in a vintage kitchen rather than cut them up. I had these hanging on a line and they looked so pretty! If you do decide to cut it up, most of the labels are really on there, so they may be difficult to remove. The feed sack is in excellent, clean condition! Very bright colors! Minor age darkening of the label and light age darkening of the white sections, but very, very minimal.
Non-smoking home. I will combine shipping with other items in my shop.
