This is a rare and visually striking original vintage advertising poster featuring pin-up artwork by Earl Moran, created to promote Perfect Circle Piston Rings for Bachelder’s of Athol, Massachusetts. These oversized shop posters were designed for display in auto garages, service stations, and parts counters and were never intended to survive in fine condition—making examples like this especially hard to find today.
The design showcases multiple classic Moran pin-up images across the top and sides, combined with bold industrial typography and a detailed piston ring specification chart in the center. The result is a wonderful blend of automotive history and Golden Age pin-up art.
Dating:
The printed phone number “Telephone 757” (Athol, Mass.) strongly suggests an early–mid 1930s production date, prior to the widespread adoption of longer exchange-based telephone numbers.
