Divided back.Posted October 10, 1928 from Bad Reichenhall, Bavaria, with a 15 pfennig red Deutsches Reich stamp, mailed to West Somerville, Massachusetts. Handwritten message in English describes a visit to the area and calls it "a view of a rather celebrated lake in the neighbourhood, quite surrounded by mountains."Process note: this is a printed collotype (Lichtdruck), not a real photograph. Macro examination of the image surface shows the fine sandy, irregular grain typical of collotype printing, and the back carries no photo-paper mark.Condition NotesFront: white border shows light toning at the edges. There is a crease in the bottom right corner running from the border into the image corner. Light surface scuffing and a few fine scratches are visible on the left portion of the image. Pencil notation at the top front (illegible, appears to be a dealer or collector mark).Back: postmarked, stamp affixed, handwritten message in ink. Light edge wear.
