A generous vintage sewing and needlecraft lot with the look and variety of a well-stocked grandmother’s sewing room. There’s a lot here for someone who enjoys sewing, quilting, mending, embroidery, knitting, crochet, or sorting through vintage notions.
The assortment includes a large variety of thread on wooden and plastic spools, zippers, trims, needles, sewing notions, scissors, knitting needles, crochet hooks, a pincushion, and vintage hot iron transfers. The transfers are being sold as found; I haven’t checked every design or package to confirm that all pieces are present. There are also assorted buttons, including some that may be Bakelite, though I haven’t sorted or identified them.
A can of quilt basting spray and many other small sewing-room items are included. The photos show the variety and are part of the condition reporting, so please take a good look through them. The button collection is included, but the glass jar holding it is not. Everything is being sold together for one price.
A standout item in the lot is a Toyota knitting machine pattern punch, which lets you create your own patterns for machine knitting. It’s a terrific find for a Toyota machine knitter, and this accessory has sold on its own for around $42.
