Up for sale is a beautiful vintage Indiana Glass Company Iridescent Blue Carnival Glass Candy Jar (Model #2224) in the classic Harvest Grape pattern. Manufactured during the 1970s, this piece features a stunning 8-sided paneled design with embossed grape clusters, vine leaves, and a matching lidded top featuring a grape cluster finial. The iridescent \"oil slick\" coating catches the light beautifully with striking rainbow tones.
This listing uniquely includes the original retail box, which is highly desirable for collectors.
Condition
• Glass Candy Jar & Lid: Excellent vintage condition. There are no chips, cracks, or deep scratches in the glass. The iridescent finish remains vibrant and shiny.
• Original Box: Present and structurally intact, though it shows typical vintage shelf wear, scuffing, and softened corners expected from its age (please review photos for exact condition).
• Estate Source Note: This item was sourced directly from an estate. Please note that the previous owner was a smoker. While the glass has been gently wiped down, the original cardboard box may have faint smoke odor. ( I do not smoke and really cannot smell a heavy smoke odor) It is being sold exactly as-found to preserve the original packaging for collectors who prefer it.
Dimensions
• Height: Approximately 7.5 inches (including lid/finial)
• Pattern: Harvest Grape
• Color: Iridescent Blue / Cobalt Carnival
